Arrested in Hong Kong, Tiananmen protest leader sentenced to nine years in a Chinese prison
He was found guilty on charges of attempted fraud for using a fake passport. Instead of expelling him to the place he came from, Hong Kong authorities handed him over to Chinese police.
Huang Qi sentenced to three years: he had helped the Sichuan earthquake victims
The official condemnation was for "possession of state secrets." He was arrested after meeting with families of children killed in the collapse of schools in the earthquake in Sichuan. After the visit of Obama, the trial of Zhou Yongjun, former leader of Tiananmen, begins.

From Tiananmen to the July 1st march: youth participation on the rise
A big turnout of youth for the June 4th Hong Kong vigil, also to show that economic growth must not cloud “recognition of heritage and respect for the truth”. For the traditional July 1st pro-democracy march over 100 thousand people are anticipated, also to contest the Chief executive Tsang.
