In Mumbai, the festivities of the "row of oil lamps" was remembered by Msgr. John Rodrigues, auxiliary bishop of the diocese who, while celebrating the liturgy, reminded that Jesus Christ is the Divine Master.
The bishop said: "The lamps are lit throughout the city, while our brothers celebrate Diwali and rejoice in the victory of good over evil. We join them in celebrating this festival of light, because Christ is the light of the world. "

The solemnity of Jesus Christ the Divine Master is the most important holiday for the Sisters Disciples of the Divine Master (PDDM), and yesterday coincided with Diwali. The celebration took place in Bandra, a Mumbai neighborhood. Msgr. Rodrigues was assisted eight concelebrants, including the provincial superior of the Society of St. Paul.
