One Chamber of Commerce for six Turkish-speaking countries

Istanbul (AsiaNews) - The Cooperation Council of Turkish-speaking countries has launched a common Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which connects six countries: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

The Council, founded in 2009, aims to promote collaboration and development among countries that use the Turkish language. The economic potential of the six countries gathered is around 1100 billion US dollars.

The General Assembly of the Council met in Istanbul in recent days. Only the representatives of the first three countries were present. So far, cooperation between the Turkic countries has borne fruit in the linguistic, economic and above all energy fields.
