This was revealed by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI ), which yesterday released data relating to 2013. China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Japan and India are among the top 10 nations on their list.

Overall, the world's military spending amounted to 1.73 trillion dollars, a decrease of 1.9% compared to 2012 , but only because of a drop in spending by the United States and other Western countries.
