" This is the meaning of the message signed yesterday by Mgr. Francis Xavier Ahn Myeong-ok, president of the Episcopal Commission of Caritas, for the 27th Sunday dedicated to charity.

The message is titled: ""For almsgiving expiates every sin (Tob. 12,9), your almsgiving remembered before God (Acts 10,31)". In the message, the bishop expressed his gratitude to those faithful who "live truthfully in their lives, with firm faith and sure hope for salvation. In these times of financial crisis, "the danger is that greed and desire negate the will of man to seek God through an inner reflection on the divine.
