Nagasaki, government launches website to "rediscover" Japanese Christians
The local prefecture publishes oratio.jp, which includes the history and traditions of the Catholics in the area., the Archbishop Mgr. Takami tells AsiaNews: "It 'a choice of an economic nature which the Church must transform into a new opportunity for evangelization. We hope that the Pope's love for Japan will help us in our mission within our own society."

Japanese bishops: A future papal visit, a real chance for peace
Peter Takeo Okada, Archbishop of Tokyo and president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Japan, talks about the meeting between Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and pope Francis. During the talks, Abe invited the Pope in the Asian country: "We are determined to pray and make every effort to make possible a visit of the Pope to Japan".

Archbishop Takami concelebrated Mass with the Pope in Santa Marta. "I told him about our invitation to him to visit the country. He did not answer outright, but he was very satisfied. Let's hope he comes because his example has brought many Christians back to the Church. Even non-Christians in Japan follow him, impressed by his example and his words."
