Organized in Bangalore and Mumbai by the Disciples of the Divine Master to mark the end of the Year for Priests. Special intention and prayers for vocations to the priesthood.

Bangalore (AsiaNews) - Eucharistic adoration 40 hours long, to celebrate the end of the Year for Priests and ask God to help humanity and particularly the Church, the Pope, bishops and priests in these times of suffering. The initiative was organized by the Congregation of the Disciples of the Divine Master: prayer will begin at 7 am on June 10 in the chapel of Prarthanalaya, and will end at 6 am, on the 12th.

The provincial superior of the congregation, Sister Kanikaimary, tells AsiaNews: "We invited all the faithful to participate, even if the vigil will be reserved for nuns. The priestly Year was celebrated in all our 18 homes: the priesthood is linked to our charism and to our vocation. We have indeed a special ministry for priests: spiritually, morally and physically we are called to their welfare. "

The charisma of the Disciples, she adds, "starts with prayer for vocations and concludes with the assistance to elderly or sick priests. Our founder, Fr Alberione, has instilled in us a particular desire to take care of the elderly and the sick: if we can assist in allowing a priest to celebrate mass, we perfect our service".
