Beirut ( AsiaNews) - A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded at 3 am last night near a Hezbollah station, in Baalbek in eastern Lebanon . The explosion according to security sources , affected some people, but so far the number of victims is not known. The television of the Party of God , Al- Manar , reports hat there were no deaths or injuries .

A reconstruction provided by the Lebanese security forces says that the car exploded before ramming into two vehicles along the road leading to the Hezbollah outpost at Sbouba , northwest of Baalbek .

There are currently no claims of responsibility, but many link it to Hezbollah's involvement in the civil war in Syria, in support of President Assad, who counts on the allegiance of Iran.

Already in July and August, two bombings had hit the Lebanese Shiite party , causing 20 deaths and in November an attack on the Iranian embassy caused 20 dead and 150 wounded .
