Natore (AsiaNews) - Becoming useful men and women for tomorrow's society is the spirit that inspired a science fair organised by Caritas Bangladesh in Natore (Diocese of Rajshahi).

More than a thousand people, including students and teachers from three Catholic schools, attended the event, which was held from 31 January to 1 February at St Joseph High School.

"The science fair improves students' knowledge and encourages them to become scientists. It is a good initiative," said District Education Officer Ibrahim Khaullah.

"Schools make human beings, as workshops make tools," said Denis C. Baskey, Caritas regional director in Rajshahi. For this reason, "Students should read all sorts of books to develop their talents."
