Pope, hopeful that the AsiaNews Symposium will encourage evangelical zeal in Asia
A telegram from the pope blesses the 2014 international meeting by the PIME agency, its speakers, organisers and all those in attendance. The pontiff is "hopeful that this blessed occasion can be an intense experience of reflection and communion, promoting a renewed apostolic zeal in favour of proclaiming the Gospel in Asia."

Vatican City (AsiaNews) - In a telegram signed by Card Pietro Parolin, the Holy Father sent his blessing and expressed hope that 2014 AsiaNews International Symposium organised by the PIME agency "can be an intense experience of reflection and communion, promoting a renewed apostolic zeal in favour of proclaiming the Gospel in Asia".

"The Holy Father sends his best wishes to the participants of the International Symposium organised by AsiaNews on the Mission in Asia: from Pope John Paul II to Pope Francis. Whilst he is hopeful that this blessed occasion can be an intense experience of reflection and communion, promoting a renewed apostolic zeal in favour of proclaiming the Gospel in Asia, he calls on the Lord, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, to provide copious celestial gifts to the event's organisers, speakers and all those present and wholeheartedly bestows upon them his Apostolic Blessing.
