Thanks to a new Internet provider acquired by the community, the service “will be ready by early February. Whoever is interested can access the website of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, more popularly known as Edsa Shrine, at www.edsashrine.com.”
“Thanks to initiatives like this, the web becomes a tool with positive uses. We are sure this service will help in spreading the good news more effectively,” said Fr Vic Apacible, the parish priest.
The shrine, built to commemorate the 1986 revolution that overthrew the dictator Marcos, welcomes around 600 pilgrims every day who come for Mass and to pray to Our Lady.
Olivares said the site will feature, “apart from live Masses, other useful services like Mass timetables, activities of the local church and messages from the shrine. The faithful may send their messages and even receive online spiritual support.”
