Fr. Mark Tardiff, Fr. Antonio Nunes and Fr. Alberto Zamberletti elected PIME General Councilors
Th new elected were born in USA, Brazil and Italy. They have been working as missionaries in Japan, Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau.

Ariccia (AsiaNews) – At the 13th  PIME General Assembly in Ariccia, during the afternoon session of May 24, three members were elected to the General Council of the missionary Institute.

Fr. Mark Tardiff, 51, was elected to his second term. He was born in Detroit Michigan on June 1954, and ordained a priest for PIME in September 1980. In 1987 he was assigned to the missions in Japan. He was elected to the previous General Council and has been in Rome for the past six years.

 Fr. Antonio Nunes, 51, was elected 3rd councilor. Fr. Nunes was born in 1954 in Assis, San Paolo, Brazil, and ordained for PIME in December 1982. He was assigned to the missions in Ivory Coast in 1983. He presently has been serving as Regional Superior of the South Brazil region of PIME.

 Fr. Alberto Zamberletti was elected 4th Councilor. He was born in 1948 in Velate (Va), Italy. In 1973 he was ordained for PIME and assigned to the missions of Guinea Bissau the following, where he has been working up until now. In 1994 he received a degree in medicine.
