Seoul (AsiaNews) – Chief US negotiator Christopher Hill returned from his two-day trip to North Korea, describing his discussion there as "good" for nuclear negotiation talks to resume soon.
While withholding specifics, Hill said “we discussed all aspects of the six-party talks process, and all aspects means all aspects.”
Hill has served as the head of the US delegation to the six-nation talks aimed at resolving the North Korean nuclear crisis. This week he also travelled to Japan, China and South Korea, who are also parties (with Russia) to the six-nation talks.
The implementation of the February agreement to dismantle North Korea’s nuclear programme was delayed by nearly four months due to Kim Jong-il refusal before its million accounts in Macau’s Banco Delta Asia are moved out.
Earlier this week the United States and Russia agreed to free the funds but according to Pyongyang funds transfer had not yet been confirmed.
