Angelo Caloia: Vittorino Colombo Award to Fr Cervellera, passionate missionary and journalist
AsiaNews is reprinting the motivations for the award to its editor in chief, which were delivered by the jury chairman, Prof Angelo Caloia. Previous recipients include Vaclav Havel, Shirin Ebadi, Card Agostino Casaroli and Card Angelo Sodano. In addition to the memory of the late statesman, Fr Cervellera dedicated the prize to three Chinese bishops who have been banned from their ministry or have disappeared in police custody.
