"Georgian Dream" moves closer to Russia
Opposition coalition Georgian Dream defeated the ruling party on 1 October by 55.8 per cent against 40.14 per cent. The result could lead to political tensions between the defeated United National Movement of President Mikheil Saakashvili and the heterogeneous (and possibly unstable) coalition of multimillionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, who became rich with Russian help.
