Sister Lissy: the mission among the poor fills stomachs and hungry hearts with Christ
A member of the Congregation of the Daughters of St Paul, she eventually turned to poor fishermen in Kerala “While our media mission caters to the elite and intellectuals”. Then, in 2008, she travelled with Mgr Thomas Menamparampil to the jungle villages in Assam, where the missionaries can “enter into the agony of the masses who were like ‘sheep without a shepherd’".
