Smirne (AsiaNews) – An unknown aggressor knifed Fr. Adriano Franchini, superior of the Custody of Turkey this morning at the end of mass. The priest was rushed to hospital where reports of his condition remain reserved.
According to eye witnesses the Franciscan was attacked by an “unknown hooligan”, never seen before in the Bayrakli Church, in Izmir, where the attack took place.
