FABC: Asia is gravely concerned by war, no justice through violence

The Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences issued an appeal for dialogue in the face of a war that is spreading from the Middle East. Asia’s Catholic bishops call for an “immediate cessation of hostilities”, urging the “leaders of the great religious traditions present in the region, to witness together to the sacredness of life.” The prelates also call on Christian communities to “Intensify prayer”.

    Run by the Jesuit Conference of Asia-Pacific as a fruit of the Second Vatican Council, the EAPI promotes continuing education by welcoming priests, religious sisters, and lay people from various countries each semester. Its courses are a valuable tool for inculturating the faith in local contexts. FABC Chairman Cardinal Ferrao thanked the institute for its contribution to the missionary work of the Church.

Created in 1970, the latter serves as a point of reference today for the synodal journey.
