Dhaka (AsiaNews) - Sheep of Heaven, a Catholic choir, released its sixth album for this year's Christmas. Titled Kuashar Chadur ("Mantle of Fog"), the CD includes ten Christmas songs, plus lyrics and original music. It tells the story of the birth of Jesus and his story in Bangladesh.
"Through our songs we pray Almighty God because He loves us and His Son came to Earth for us," said 26-year-old Joyanto Rozario, one of the members of the choir who spoke to AsiaNews.
The band, which recorded the music on modern instruments that are not part of the musical tradition of Bangladesh, presented Kuashar Chadur to the public on 16 December at a hotel in Dhaka.
"I admire these young people," a fan of them, Raton Coast, 55, told AsiaNews, "because their work does not only offer entertainment but also spiritual support."
