Mumbai (AsiaNews) - "The Church's commitment to interreligious dialogue can not become a true Christian way of life without the involvement of priests”, says Fr Subhash Anand, professor and theologian, 35 years in India, urging the country to promote religious dialogue between different beliefs.

"We have to face dialogue between different beliefs with responsibility - says Fr Anand - if we are serious when it comes to faith formation in a multi-religious context ".

He stresses: "Interreligious dialogue requires a more critical awareness of the faith, creativity and courage." Moreover, he adds, "We need a great ability to relate with each other, and not be locked up in the role of leaders, but as men of good will. The ministers of dialogue should have more credibility. "
