China builds world's highest dam, India fears water theft
The dam will rise to 3,260 meters, on Yarlung Zangbo River (Brahmaputra, for Indians) using special materials and techniques. But India notes that the river is essential to the lives of millions of people and calls for assurances that Beijing does not seem to want to give. For that zone a war was fought that has never officially ended.

Moscow and Beijing agree on borders after 80 years
The borders have been drawn for the Heixiazi islands, occupied by Russia during the border war of 1929. But the meaning of the agreement is above all political, an indicator of the increasingly close relationship between the two giants.
Controlling pollution a tough job for the government
The 2004 report by the State Environmental Protection Administration says pollution control is a tough job to do. Industrial development and local authorities dragging their feet are preventing the clean-up of waterways.
Pearl River pollution a serious concern
Water treatment plants are built only in cities, whilst farmers must put up with polluted water. Official reports indicate that the Pearl River dumps more 133,000 tonnes of waste into the sea.

Chinese Premier in Delhi, to strengthen "trust" and trade
It is the first foreign trip of Prime Minister Li Keqiang, who then will go on to Pakistan, Switzerland and Germany. He met his Indian counterpart Singh and recalled the "great importance" of bilateral relations., But did not mention the recent tension on the borders, caused by Chinese troops invading Indian territory.
