Pope has a 'slight indisposition', postpones public audiences

But he celebrated Mass this morning and at the end, as usual, he greeted participants. The meetings on the agenda at Casa Santa Marta continue regularly.

Vatican City (AsiaNews) - Pope Francis has a "slight indisposition", reported Holy See Press Office director, Matteo Bruni. “The Holy Father - he said - celebrated Mass this morning and at the end, as usual, greeted the participants, but decided to postpone today's official audiences. The meetings on the agenda at Casa Santa Marta continue regularly ".

Already yesterday the press office had made it known that Francis "preferred to stay at Santa Marta" and therefore did not participate in the penitential liturgy with the Roman clergy, scheduled in the basilica of St Jaohn Lateran, the cathedral of Rome. The text that Francis had prepared for the occasion was read by the Cardinal Vicar Angelo De Donatis.

Yesterday as today the meetings scheduled at Casa Santa Marta were held regularly. In fact, in the morning, the Pope had celebrated Mass and later received the members of the "Global Catholic Climate Movement", an organization that collaborates with the Church for greater protection of our common home, inspired by the values of Laudato Si '.

The fact that Francis continues to meet people evidently rules out that he was hit by the coronavirus.
