"Mediterraneo", is the title of a series of paintings by the artist and friend Mauro Valsangiacomo. Through the interplay of light, color and form, the artist evokes the significance and destiny of the Mediterranean as a place of journey, encounter and conflict with migrants coming from the South and the Middle East in search of the wellbeing and tranquility that Europe enjoys. Mediterranean culture has always been enriched by the contribution of other cultures. If the Mediterranean is the meeting place between North and South, East and West, AsiaNews and PIME, the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions, are perfectly in line with this destiny.

Proceeds from sales will be donated to the mission of AsiaNews and the work in Syria of the Trappist Sisters of Azeir.
