Pope: St. Joseph gives young people "the ability to dream, to take risks"
"The man who does not speak but obeys, the man of tenderness, the man capable of keeping promises so they may become solid, safe." He is also the guardian of God’s dream": the dream of God" to save us all ", of redemption, is confided to him.
Pope: At the root of the educational emergency is a crisis of trust in life
In a letter to the people of Rome, Benedict XVI writes that every person and every generation must make fresh choices, without being able to accumulate the progress made in the past. The educational relationship is above all the encounter between two forms of freedom, and successful education means formation in the proper use of freedom.
Pope Francis on Palm Sunday: Joy, Cross, Youth, waiting for Rio de Janeiro
The Pope begins the rites of the Holy Week. The meeting between the Pope and the crowd in silence and prayer. Joy born of our encounter with Jesus. An invitation not to be "discouraged". The cross of Christ washes away personal sins and those of the world "wars, violence, economic conflicts that affect those who are weakest, greed for money, power, corruption, divisions, crimes against human life and against creation." "We must never become accustomed to evil." The invitation to young people to "carry the cross" to all "to tell everyone that on the cross Jesus broke down the dividing wall of enmity that separates peoples and nations, and brought reconciliation and peace." Youth invited to the World Youth Day of Rio de Janeiro.

Pope tells young people to remember the past, to have courage in the present and hope for the future
The Message for the 32nd World Youth Day was issued today centred on “The ‘great things’ that the Almighty accomplished’.” In her meeting with Elizabeth, Mary becomes a model. The pontiff calls on young people to avoid being couch potatoes, safe and cosy, urges them to rediscover the relationship with seniors. The Church experience is not a flash mob. The future should be experienced in a constructive way, and “the institutions of marriage, consecrated life and priestly mission” should not be devalued.

Pope ready to talk to countries that do not have diplomatic relations with Vatican
"I earnestly hope that those countries of your continent with whom the Holy See does not yet enjoy a full relationship, may not hesitate to further a dialogue for the benefit of all," the pope said during a meeting with Asian bishops. The pontiff also mentioned the many nameless martyrs of the faith, who died for the Gospel in Asia and "deserve our love." For Gwangju archbishop Hyginus Kim Hee-joon, the meeting was "brotherly and friendly". As he "walked about us [. . .] he spoke instead of staying on the stage," spending "a few minutes with each of us." He is a "trailblazer even in the Church."
