Delhi tests drones to deliver blood and medicine in the Himalayas

Today's news: at least 10 killed in shelling against Indonesian hospital in Gaza, truce negotiated in exchange for release of Hamas hostages; After Apec China resumes military activities along the Taiwan Strait, alert in Taipei; Demonstrations in Pakistan against the deportation of Afghans; Record property purchases in Spain among Russian citizens; Erdogan against Armenia who 'for years' tried to steal 'other people's land'.

INDIA
Delhi tested drones to deliver bags of blood, plasma and platelets in remote areas of the Himalayas, with sub-zero temperatures and snow. In less than seven minutes a 20 km journey was covered, where the average travel time was one hour. Other trials with essential medicines and organs are being studied. India aims to achieve leadership in the drone sector by 2030.

ISRAEL - PALESTINE
The still provisional toll from the Israeli army's bombing of the Indonesian hospital in Gaza is at least 12 dead, with the healthcare facilities in the Strip still a theater of war. Among the victims also patients and people seeking shelter. Meanwhile, the IDF has extended operations against Hamas in the north, violent fighting in Gaza City while negotiations continue for the release of the hostages in exchange for a humanitarian truce for a few days.

TAIWAN - CHINA
Taipei reported new Chinese military activity around the island, with nine aircraft crossing the midline of the Taiwan Strait and warships carrying out "patrols" and "combat preparation" activities. The incursions had reduced last week with Xi Jinping at the Apec summit in San Francisco, but they resumed yesterday morning.

THAILAND - MYANMAR
Over 200 Thais trapped by the escalation of fighting in northern Myanmar between soldiers and armed ethnic groups have been evacuated to Thailand via China, while clashes between coup plotters and rebels are becoming increasingly intense in the former Burma. Bangkok reports that 266 Thais, Filipinos and Singaporeans have left the area along northern Shan State.

PAKISTAN - AFGHANISTAN
Pakistani protesters denounced the government's repression of undocumented Afghan citizens (around 1.7 million). The Joint Action Committee for Refugees - a platform of politicians, activists and lawyers - promoted a protest at the weekend in Karachi, warning of the risks they face - especially women and minorities - when returning to their homeland.

RUSSIA
This year, Russians have achieved record figures in the purchase of properties in Spain, exceeding 4,000 deals concluded. It is 50% more than the previous year and has returned to the levels of 2013-2014, when the "Spanish fever" had spread with 4-5 thousand purchases (much more than sales) in a year, also thanks to the possibility of obtaining long residence permits.

TURKEY - ARMENIA
Addressing the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), President Recep Tayyp Erdogan declared that "Armenia has tried to take other people's lands for many years, but in the second Karabakh war it received a harsh lesson". The military power of a state, he added, serves "only to ensure a free and peaceful life in its lands".

KYRGYZSTAN - JAPAN
The first historic official visit to Japan of the president of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Žaparov, took place in Tokyo, who with his wife Ajgul was received by Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako. He then met with Prime Minister Fumyo Kishida and Parliament Speaker Fukushiro Nukaga. At the center of the talks is collaboration on a political and commercial level.
