Tripoli priest calls for the repatriation of Filipino workers whose lives are risk
Filipinos, who number 13,000, are targeted by Islamic extremists. For the parish priest at Mary Immaculate Church, they should be considered "war refugees", and be "evacuated by ship". Two religious congregations recall nuns in Libya because it "is risky to stay here."

'My name is Khalid' by Monica Mondo, published by Marietti, tells the story of a 13-year-old boy who fled to Italy from post-Gaddafi Libya. Humanitarian emergency in Libya as Asian migrants flee violence
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees said that at least 100,000 foreign workers have fled the country. Many of the refugees are from Asian nations. Beijing has evacuated about 30,000 of its citizens. Filipino authorities are criticising for acting late.

Filipino priest warns that the lives of 13,000 Filipinos in Libya are in danger
Fr Amado Baranquel, pastor at Tripoli's Church of Mary Immaculate, appeals to his government after Islamists killed a 50-year-old Filipino "for not being a Muslim." The cities of "Benghazi and Tripoli are under the control of militias," with "tanks, the gunshots, and explosions."
