Christian hospital under attack in Pakistan
A group of Muslims tries to seize forcibly a Christian hospital in Taxila, 32 kilometres from the capital Islamabad by making false claims with police. The intervention of Christian leaders and Bishop Rufin Anthony stops the threat.
Muslims attack Christian community in Punjab
One woman has been killed, and 28 people have been injured at the Presbyterian church in Songo. Violence is on the rise in the Swat Valley and in the northern regions. Thousands of people are fleeing after the introduction of sharia, including many teachers and entire families. In Takhtbhai, in the district of Mardan, there have been bomb attacks on 16 music stores.

Pakistani Church: Government must protect citizens' right to life
After the massacre in Quetta, the Justice and Peace Commission recalls that the province of Balochistan has suffered more than 1,400 episodes of violence in the last 15 years: "The situation is unacceptable, and we will be at the side of the population". Civil movements demand Islamabad account for security.disaster. The hospital attack, claimed by ISIS and the Pakistani Taliban, killed over 70 people: more than 200 wounded.

Captors’ spokesman announces that hostages will not be executed before direct negotiations with a South Korean delegation take place. Some 50 Christian and Buddhist religious leaders appeal for their unconditional release.

The Episcopal Commission asks the Pakistani government to eliminate discriminatory laws and policies that foment sectarian hatred once and for all. In the meantime, more blood is spilled in Lahore: armed men enter the hospital where the victims of the mosque were admitted and opened fire.
Vietnamese authorities try again to seize Thai Ha Parish land
The neighbourhood People’s Committee says it wants to build a plant to treat wastewater from a nearby hospital. Parishioners protest. In a letter, the Redemptorist superior writes that the only solution “is the end of the water treatment project and the return of the property”.
