Card Gracias: Millions of Indians to join Pope Francis in Eucharistic adoration
At least 19 million Indians are expected to join the pope in simultaneous Eucharistic adoration. Parishes, convents, and other religious organisations have mobilised. Women's dignity, equality between the sexes, and overcoming social inequalities are among the pope's intentions, as well as components of the missionary heritage of the Church in India.

The faithful packed parish churches, cathedrals and monasteries to pray the Blessed Sacrament with Pope Francis. Even cloistered convents joined the initiative. Bishop of Purwokerto said that a "moving atmosphere" prevailed during the event to boost "faith in Christ in everyday life."

The faithful filled the country's churches and cathedrals with enthusiasm and participation in response to Pope Bergoglio's call.
