Vatican website in Chinese on 19 March

Now it will be possible to follow the activities of the Pope and the Holy See in eight languages. Chinese texts will be in both traditional and simplified characters.
Vatican City (AsiaNews) – The Vatican website will be available in Chinese (pictured) as of next Thursday, 19 March, Solemnity of Saint Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Patron of the Universal Church, the Vatican Press Office announced today.

Texts will be in both traditional and simplified characters.

With the addition of Chinese, www.vatican.ca will be available in eight languages. The others are Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Latin.

Henceforth internet users will have access to Benedict XVI’s texts in Chinese from anywhere in the world.
